What an experience We opted for a helicopter ride across the Delta. Very professional pilot from Auckland who enabled us to spot elephant, hippo, red lechwe running through the water. Fabulous experience to see how big the delta is, you can only appreciate this from the air. Fabulous.

Must-do experience! Incredible experience with fantastic pilot. We flew over the Desert and Delta Xunaga Island Lodge surrounds. I was in a wedding dress and my husband in his wedding suit as we were on our elopement with our photographer. We had a champagne stop in the midst of all the wildlife and the beautiful Delta. The pilot, Matt Doogan was very professional and skilled. Made us feel totally at ease and pointed out all the wildlife. He went back past some areas at our request so we could get better photos and chose an awesome spot to land for the stop. Forever grateful for his kindness and expertise and for his help in making our elopement so special. We will certainly be using helicopter horizons again! Thank you!

Expensive but terrific experience! Absolutely worth all the money, it's by far the best way to see the delta. From above you see all sort of animals and colors variations in the water/land contrasts. The ride is surprisingly smooth, a totally different experience than the bumpy microlights yet much more exciting than a fixed-wing airplane. They also send a video of your flight for free after a couple of days. Don't miss it!
