Great flight over the okavango delta but the recordings of the flight are pretty much useless We had a great flight over the okavango delta. The irish pilote Joe was awesome, amusing and told us so many things about everything we saw. Animals we saw included hippos, giraffe, warthogs, elephants, zebras, buffalos and various birds. The landscape was stunning, especially flying high as well as low over the delta. Perfect view because auf the lack of doors. Our flight started directly at the delta, so there was no wasted flight time. The flyer we had was promoting a video record of the flight without extra charge. I got the link to the video uploaded on youtube about 2 weeks later via email. Don't book the flight because you expect a lovely memory through that video. It had a really bad resolution (looks like VHS from year 1995) and covered mostly indoor recording. The few outdoor recordings were not related to the actually flight. I just watched two other videos of flights on other days and even saw the same outdoor recordings. Music also hurt my ears 🙂
Nevertheless they don't promote the video on their website so no hard feelings about that. You have enough time to take photos and videos.
Really nice staff at their booking location and a lovely experience you shouldn't miss.

A must-do experience in the delta We did a camping safari through Botswana for 16 days and the helicopter tour was one of the additional options we had. We are so glad we decided to do it. Of our group of 16 people, only 4 of us decided to do the tour and the other 12 people regretted not doing it after. 2 of our guides we able to join us as well and it was a first time for both of them, they both said they were amazed by it. It is so unique because they take the doors off the sides of the helicopter (not nearly as scary as it may sound) so you get this incredible view the entire time. Also, the helicopter gets so much lower to the ground than the normal flight does. This was unique not just for all the wildlife you see but being able to see the winding rivers from above is so amazing. You won't regret doing this and that also comes from two guides who have years of experience.

Just wow! Myself and a colleague recently had the pleasure of a flight with Helicopter Horizons over the Okavango Delta. It was the most amazing experience and is something I won't forget in a hurry! I would so recommend this experience to other visitors to Botswana as it give you such a unique viewpoint of the Delta.
