Okavango Gin was founded from a love for the Okavango Delta and a mission to protect its unique beauty and communities. The off-grid distillery, located in the UNESCO World Heritage Site near the rural village of Tsutsubega, creates sustainable opportunities through the creation of genuine employment opportunities where they did not previously exist, and sourcing botanicals locally, reducing reliance on subsistence living. Okavango Gin is recognised for its sustainability awards and commitment to the Tsutsubega Playground (The Little Nest Play Group), with $1 from every “Out of Africa” export bottle and $50 per distillery tour guest contributing to this initiative.

The experience begins with a short transfer to your destination. Upon arrival, the doors will be removed, and you’ll embark on a breathtaking 45-minute scenic flight over the Okavango Delta. This is followed by a warm welcome from your host with a Gin & Tonic or cocktail before a guided tour of the distillery and a presentation to learn about the positive impact on the local economy and community. You can bottle your own complimentary gin and unwind in the ebony forest before a short helicopter transfer back to Maun.
